We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our busy, growing CBD Boutique practice providing secretarial support to one of our Partners and one of our Associates in the firm. The position is full time and the successful candidate will be primarily assisting in personal injury matters.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Opening and closing files;
  • File maintenance (predominantly electronic);
  • Diary management;
  • Attending to telephone calls and enquiries (incoming and outgoing);
  • Preparing bills;
  • Transcribing digital dictation;
  • Collation of documentation and briefs in readiness of court appearances;
  • Drafting and amending legal documentation and correspondence; and
  • Preparation and collation of mail including scanning and printing as required.

To be successful in this busy role, strong organisational skills are essential and you must be able to work in a team. In addition, a high level of enthusiasm and energy is a must.  We are seeking someone with a minimum of at least 1 years' legal secretarial/paralegal litigation experience or equivalent experience and that you possess the following attributes:

  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • A pro-active and flexible attitude;
  • Self-motivation with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong technical skills using the Microsoft office suite;
  • Fast and accurate typing; and
  • Any experience working with Leap preferred, however training will be provided.

The position would also suit a law student who has the appropriate time management skills.
