Leadership WA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with the vision of courageous leadership shaping a better WA. We have been bringing together leaders in an experiential learning environment and creating positive social impact, for over two decades.

We are a small and collaborative team, dedicated to delivering leadership development that inspires Western Australian leaders and decision-makers to expand their leadership capabilities as well as their opportunities to give back to the WA community.

About the role:
Under the direction of the Marketing and Engagement Manager and the Alumni and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, the Digital Communications Coordinator will assist in the planning and delivery of key communications, including initiatives that support and raise awareness of Leadership WA's Purpose and position as the State's premier leadership development organisation.

This is a vital role that includes:

  • Crafting tailored messaging for key audiences, to promote Leadership WA to prospective Participants and keep our Alumni and leadership community connected and engaged.

  • Writing, creating, capturing and publishing relevant content across a range of channels.

  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of a content strategy to grow engagement across digital platforms, while optimising content for use across multiple platforms and channels.

  • Growing brand awareness of Leadership WA through storytelling and media opportunities.

About you
The Digital Communications Coordinator will be a competent, curious and creative digital marketing and communications professional, with 3-5+ years' experience in crafting well-written communications, delivered to a high standard, on time and within the scope of available resources. They will enjoy the interactive nature of the role while working as an integral part of a small, collaborative and high-performing team, and liaising with a committed and passionate community of leaders.

You will bring to the role:

  • Experience in impactful content creation, digital marketing and communications.

  • Creative thinking and excellent skills in writing, storytelling and communications, with the ability to draft, edit and proof high-quality communications, tailored for key audiences.

  • Strong ownership of your role with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • A proactive approach, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Well-developed knowledge of the digital and online marketing landscape, including digital campaigns, websites and SEO and able to stay updated with the latest trends.

  • Well organised, adaptable and able to work to competing and/or changing timelines.

  • Commitment to continuous process improvement and your own development.

  • Creative and design ability, including experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and video editing (desirable)
