Ready to take your accounting expertise to the next level? Join Velocity Vehicle Group Australia (VVGA) as a Dealership Accountant and play a vital role in supporting our dealerships. Based at Port Melbourne, you'll partner closely with dealership management and the broader finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across multiple sites.

Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller, this role offers the chance to influence key financial processes and provide insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day and month-end accounting for selected dealerships
  • Prepare and analyse profit and loss statements
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure timely, accurate reporting
  • Support annual budget preparation, audits, and FBT lodgement
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Maintain dealership-level financial reporting and support consolidated corporate accounts
  • Contribute to statutory accounting processes and consistent practices across the group

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Accountant within the Automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Relevant postgraduate accounting qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to analyse data and provide sound financial recommendations
