We are currently seeking a Dealership Accountant to join our very busy and highly varied Victoria Finance Team based in Burwood. This role would suit a qualified accountant ready to take the next step in their career. Due to the nature of this busy role, a positive attitude with a hands‑on approach is required.

What the role briefly entails:

- Preparation of the monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance with accounting standards
- Extensive balance sheet reconciliations
- Reporting and analysis of P&L statements
- Assist in the statutory tax reporting namely, GST, LCT, FBT and PAYG
- Cash flow management
- Internal controls
- Assist in external audit preparation/requirements
- Manufacturer reporting
- Annual budgeting and forecasting
- Senior leader able to help manage centralised accounts functions
- Work on projects where necessary as directed by the VIC Financial Controller
- Effective communication with dealer principals, managers, employees and other key stakeholders from various departments

What we are looking for:

- An experienced Accountant with proven skills of 2 years in a similar capacity
- Accounting Degree and/or CPA/CA qualified is preferred
- Automotive Dealership background not essential, but desirable
- Experience with Auto IT Dealer Management System would be desirable
- An ability to adapt to a fast‑paced work environment
- Strong communication skills both within a department and with stakeholders in the broader business
- Strong attention to detail and high analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills
