We are on the hunt for a Hostel Manager to take the reins of our 500-bed flagship busy hostel in the heart of Sydney CBD.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a large and diverse team across all departments and overseeing daily operations.  (Reception, Housekeeping, Maintenance & Events)
  • Managing revenue, forecasting, rate strategies, and OTA channel performance.
  • Planning and running events, activities and socials to keep our guests coming back.
  • Ensuring the property is safe, clean, compliant, and bursting with good vibes.
  • Hiring, on boarding and mentoring staff, you're the heartbeat of the team


•     Liaising with senior management to achieve goals and spark fresh, creative ideas.

You must have:

  • At least two years proven experience managing a busy, high-volume hostel or accommodation property.
  • Strong knowledge of PMS systems, yield/revenue management and operations. Experience with Guest Centrix, Staah & Onity desirable.
  • A friendly and enthusiastic manner, with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Experience coordinating departments, developing processes and mentoring staff.
  • A deep understanding of backpacker and hostel culture and a love for it
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues before they escalate.
  • Experience with OTA back ends is desirable )
  • The ability to drive the business and work within financial budgets.
  • Strong financial acumen and reporting skills.

This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who has successfully managed large-scale operations, led high-performing teams and understands how to balance operational excellence with an engaging and memorable guest experience.
