Coast cafe in Ettalong beach is looking for a passionate and reliable Head Chef (or highly experienced Breakfast & Lunch Chef) to lead our kitchen team and deliver consistently high-quality food for our busy café.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily kitchen operations.
  • Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality of all dishes.
  • Create and implement weekly specials
  • Develop seasonal menus and contribute fresh, creative ideas.
  • Take full responsibility for ordering, stock control, and food cost management.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and workplace cleanliness.
  • Train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Work closely with management to ensure efficiency and cost control.
  • Be dependable, punctual, and committed to teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Head Chef or senior Breakfast/Lunch Chef.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
  • Creativity and passion for fresh, seasonal food.
  • Reliability and consistency in both attendance and performance.

Position Details:

  • Full-time role with 2 days off per week.
  • Early start shifts: either 6am–2pm or 8am–4pm, depending on roster.
  • Great opportunity to take ownership of the kitchen and grow with our café.
