Director of Sales

- Maximize sales through the activities of the Sales & Marketing Department, working closely with Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments
- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the hotel's Sales strategies to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures
- Establish competitive sales targets for the Sales team across market segments.
- Actively lead, coach and mentor all members of the Sales team to ensure they are equipped to do their job while also developing them for the future.
- Establish strong and meaningful connections with key corporate and leisure market contacts
- Participate and help drive the weekly yield meetings and monthly strategic meetings
- Manage all key sales accounts and groups and deliver strategies for pricing, inventory and sales resources allocation
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential. Pre-opening hotel experience will be highly regarded
- University qualification in Business, Hospitality or Sales and Marketing
- Proven success in leading and developing teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Results driven with strong influencing skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into profitable action
- Strategic orientation with the know how to problem solve under pressure
