We are expanding our Customer team and we are looking for a skilled
Commercial Manager
based in Australia who's ready to take the lead on all things commercial. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll shape how we engage with our customers, partners, and vendors — ensuring every agreement delivers value and aligns with our mission to protect Australia's most critical data.

You'll be the go-to person for contract engagement, negotiation, and lifecycle management. From navigating complex customer agreements to building strong partnerships and managing vendor relationships, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth delivery and sustainable growth.

What you will do:

  • Lead end-to-end commercial engagements
    with customers, partners, and vendors — from negotiation to delivery.
  • Draft, review, and manage
    contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and value at every stage of the contract lifecycle.
  • Negotiate contracts
    with confidence, balancing customer needs with business outcomes.
  • Keep projects on track
    by managing scope, variations, and cost efficiencies, and stepping in on complex commercial issues.
  • Own the numbers
    — develop financial reporting guidelines, ensure compliance with CAPEX/OPEX requirements, and provide accurate forecasts and insights for senior management.
  • Drive value through partnerships
    — implement smart vendor and partner management strategies, track performance, and lead discussions on scope, pricing, and compliance.
  • Support growth opportunities
    by contributing to bids, tenders, and contract cost management.

Who/what we are looking for:

  • Australian citizenship in order to gain relevant security clearance to succeed in this role
  • Legal qualification (University Degree)
  • Extensive experience in contract drafting, negotiation and lifecycle management
  • Rigorous commercial acumen, pricing experience, and the confidence to make recommendations to the business
  • Experience in responding to tenders and RFQ's

It is desirable for you to have:

  • Demonstrated project management skills applied to managing a portfolio of contracts, including the ability to identify risks and opportunities and plan mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in a Defence or Federal Government context
  • Procurement experience including leading formal tenders
