Jadestone Energy is a leading oil and gas development and production company in the Asia Pacific region with a strategy towards acquiring and further developing producing fields. Jadestone Energy currently operates two producing assets off the coast of Western Australia and is currently progressing several acquisitions for additional assets in New Zealand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Jadestone Energy Australia are currently seeking applications from experienced General Service Operators for a position on the Montara Venture. 

This role is primarily responsible for safe crane and deck operations, cargo handling, equipment checks, supporting helicopter activities, and ensuring HS&E compliance.

Key accountabilities of the position are:

  • Operate cranes and deck machinery safely, following manufacturer and company standards.
  • Perform lifting operations, including platform lifts and loading/unloading supply vessels.
  • Operate and monitor machinery, report faults, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support helicopter operations, including standby and refueling.
  • Carry out rigging, scaffolding, and confined space entry tasks safely.
  • Follow HS&E procedures, report hazards, and participate in emergency response activities.
  • Promote safety awareness and support team competency development.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • 5+ years previous offshore experience as a General Service Operator or similar role.
  • FPSO experience.
  • Exposure to supporting, planning, and safe completion of offtake operations is essential.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Offshore Crane Endorsement (PMASUP305) (within 5 years).
  • Current TBOSIET, MSIC and CA-EBS.
  • Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal) (within 5 years).
  • Working at Heights (within 3 years).
  • Enter Confined Space (within 3 years).
  • Gas Test Atmospheres (within 3 years).
  • Current High Risk Work License (Dogging, Rigging, and Tower Crane).
  • Helicopter Landing Officer (within 5 years).
