Due to continued growth, investment, and an internal promotion, Leader Civil & Mining Services is on the hunt for a Site/Project Engineer to work as part of our contracting team.

About the role:

A critical role in our operation, we are looking for the right person to support our projects on site accross NSW and QLD.

Candidates must be available for extended interstate travel to support projects across NSW and QLD.

This is an incredibly fast paced role, so organisation, time management, communication and attention to detail will see you successful in maximizing project profitability. You will be supported by some of the best in the business, with scope to help us better develop out processes.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will be:

  • QA, ITP's, Methodologies
  • Procurement
  • Cost Control (Budgeting, Forecasting, Tracking)
  • Daily Reporting
  • Weekly Reporting
  • Monthly HSE (Tracking & Reporting)
  • Planning & Coordinating works with Supervisor as per Program Schedule
  • Read IFC Drawings, identify design and constructability issues
  • Issue Technical Queries
  • Identify variations & issue notices
  • Identify delays & issue notices
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Liaise with the Client, Community, Council, and service authorities
  • Manage Site Registers
  • Assist with Estimating

To be successful you must have:

  • Current unrestricted driver's license
  • Previous experience working in civil construction
  • Minimum 1-2 years of civil construction experience
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team , trustworthy, hard-working and take pride in your work
  • Engineering degree qualification required
  • Must have Australian work rights as no sponsorship is available
