National Logistics Pty Ltd is a family owned transport company based in Melbourne. We have currently widened our business with a new warehouse located in Wetherill Park NSW and are looking for a fleet allocator to join our friendly team.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Allocation of trucks and driver for deliveries and collections whilst optimizing routes and ensuring maximum fleet utilization.

  • Management of planning and scheduling routes and drivers.

  • Coordinating preloading of trailers

  • Responding to all customer enquiries with a sense of urgency including arrival times or late deliveries via email and over the phone.

  • Building a strong working relationship with our customers and team members.

  • Capacity to identify and resolve logistical issues efficiently.

  • Ensuring drivers complete internal paperwork daily as required such as Run Sheets and POD's adequately.
  • Ensuring drivers demonstrate safe work practices at all times
  • Managing the performance of each driver including taking action with drivers to improve individual performance or escalating driver performance to management.

We require you to have the ability to preform in a fast-paced environment, a strong knowledge of the Sydney road network and excellent communication skills.

MUST have experience in general freight transport and logistics.

Monday - Friday role.
