About the Role:

Due to expansion, PLG are seeking a Junior Contract Administrator to join our construction team at Palm Lake Group Head Officein Southport CBD.This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual looking to build their career in the construction industry. As a Junior Contracts Administrator, you will support the preparation, administration, and management of building contracts in a fast-paced environment.

Working within a broader construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our projects contractual obligations, procurement processes, and budget management, working closely with senior management.

This is a Full Time role, 38 hours per week (Mon – Fri with flexible start/finish times) with occasional site travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with end-to-end contract administration and financial tracking from start to finish across multiple developments;
  • Assist the Construction Manager & Quantity Surveyor with contractual obligations;
  • Track project costs, RFIs, variations, and progress claims to ensure alignment with budget forecasts;
  • Assist in preparing progress reports and forecasting documentation;
  • Assist with procurement;
  • Communicate with consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and the project team as appropriate;
  • Support with subcontractor tendering, scoping, awarding, and onboarding;
  • Assist in developing work programs aligned with the master construction plan;
  • Conduct site inspections at critical checkpoints and enforce remedial actions where required;
  • Provide regular reports to the Construction Manger and other stakeholders as required;
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors alike.

What We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar CA role within the residential construction sector is highly desirable;
  • Cert IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, or equivalentis essential;
  • Sound technical knowledge of construction contract agreements, procurement, material costs, and market pricing;
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and cost-management;
  • Understanding and able to read construction drawings;
  • Strong computer literacy in the use of Onsite Companion & Databuild is highly desirable;
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
