What's the role?
As Shopping Writer, Partnerships, you'll be at the forefront of creating market leading Shopping content for our commercial partners across some of Australia's most recognised brands - including checkout, Body+Soul, Escape, Taste and more.
As part of our thriving ecommerce Shopping team, you'll be contributing everything from a review of the latest serum or game-changing air fryer to collating the best Black Friday deals or curating an edit of the best summer dresses. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our high-performance Shopping team and directly with top-tier retailers to shape helpful, authentic product content that informs, inspires, and converts.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver high-quality Shopping content that aligns with our partner's deadlines, briefs and drives engagement
- Create clean copy in a timely manner that's helpful, SEO-friendly and drives engagement and conversions.
- Review, test and research products across a range of categories - beauty, fashion, home, tech and more.
- Collaborate with editorial teams across News Corp to support content plan ideation and keep our Shopping content fresh and relevant.
- Make ad hoc updates to content to maintain accuracy and performance.
- Leverage and report on ecommerce performance metrics to inform copy and content decisions, ensuring commercial outcomes are achieved.
- Support the amplification of your content through homepage visibility, social media, and newsletters
- Stay on top of key shopping events, product launches, and pop-culture trends to inform your content.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to deliver against both audience growth and revenue goals.
Who are you?
- A detail-oriented writer with over two years' experience in writing or copywriting who has the versatility to craft authoritative content across multiple categories: beauty, fashion, electronics, appliances, travel, and more.
- A writer with sharp, clean, and compelling writing, able to produce content with minimal edits.
- Comfortable using digital publishing tools such as WordPress; experience with Methode CMS, Trackonomics or Skimlinks is a bonus.
- A strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in cross-functional teams.
- Interested in affiliate and performance-driven content, with the ability to balance creativity with commercial outcomes.
- Highly-organised, with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
