We are seeking an experienced and reliable female support worker to provide quality, consistent support to a youth client with complex health and behavioural needs. The role involves short shifts during the week, assisting with school pick-ups and attending specialist appointments with the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick up the client from school and transport safely to appointments or home.
  • Provide support during specialist and medical appointments.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies as directed.
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to seizures and other health needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the client's care team and family.
  • Maintain accurate and timely shift documentation.

About You

The ideal candidate will be calm under pressure, proactive, and experienced in supporting young people with high-intensity needs.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Female applicants only
  • Reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
  • Experience working with non-verbal clients
  • Experience managing seizures and high-intensity behaviours
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality
