Female Disability Support Workers

We are seeking dedicated, honest, reliable and punctual Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide support to our female Client located in Woodridge.

Our female Client is a warm and positive individual who enjoys life with an easy-going attitude. She values independence and is looking for a Support Worker who can complement her lifestyle and personality. She enjoys being social and having a laugh and spending time with her husband and pet animals.

In this role you will support her with community access, domestic assistance around the home and meal preparation.

Experience with supporting someone with vision impairment is a bonus for this role.

We are looking for someone with availability across varies days, and someone who is comfortable to support when urgent shifts arise.

Shifts:

• Daily Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm, opportunities to pick up additional shifts from time to time.

What You'll Need:

• A valid driver's license.
• Comprehensive Car Insurance
• A friendly and respectful attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and support independent living.

QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $35.66, Evening $38.30, Night $39.33, Saturday $48.65, Sunday $62.62, Public Holidays $ sorry, rate not negotiable).

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency of Clients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities…

• To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
• Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients' needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
• Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
• Provide support to our Clients as required
• Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
• Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
• Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
• To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be Successful you must…

• Resonate with the role description above
• Hold CPR and first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Hold NDIS worker screening (or willingness to obtain)
• Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
• Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (or willingness to obtain- preferred)
• Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
• Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
