About the team and role:

The Systems and Solutions team is dedicated to enhancing and managing Deakin University's business systems, enterprise platforms and digital solutions. Harnessing extensive technical expertise and deep domain knowledge, the team takes a customer-centric approach to develop, configure and implement solutions that streamline digital operations and align with the University's strategic objectives.

The Senior Officer, Property Systems supports the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the organisation's property systems. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Property Systems, this role focuses on ensuring systems are efficient, user-friendly, and aligned with operational needs.

As a Senior Officer, you will:

  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of property systems to support organisational operations, including integration of security and health and safety features.
  • Provide operational support, including troubleshooting system issues, responding to user queries, and escalating complex matters when necessary.
  • Support the implementation of security features, such as user access controls and data protection measures, to ensure compliance with organisational policies.
  • Contribute to the configuration and management of health and safety functions within systems, ensuring they facilitate compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather system requirements, provide technical advice, and ensure systems are aligned with operational objectives.

To be successful, you'll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proficiency in property systems or similar platforms, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and data management.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyse, and resolve system issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical advice.
