Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation (MWWAC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housing and Property Services Officer to join our Housing and Tenancy Support Program in Fitzroy Crossing.

This role is vital in delivering culturally appropriate, efficient, and responsive tenancy and property management services to Aboriginal communities in the Fitzroy Valley.

ABOUT US

Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation was established in the late 1970s by the people of the Fitzroy Valley and is the largest and oldest Aboriginal resource agency in the Kimberley.  The primary objective of Marra Worra Worra is to work with Bunuba, Gooniyandi, Wangkatjungka, Walmajarri and Nyikina groups in the Fitzroy Valley to strengthen culture, support community and create sustainable employment solutions.

THE ROLE

This role directly supports safe, sustainable housing for Aboriginal families across the Fitzroy Valley. As the Housing and Property Services Officer, you will be the key point of contact for tenants and play a critical role in delivering tenancy support, inspections, maintenance and property management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting property inspection reports
  • Providing tenancy support including rent assessments, debt management, and referrals
  • Liaising with other service providers, Thrive tenancy support and government agencies
  • Reporting and following up on maintenance issues and educating tenants about reporting
  • Regularly traveling to remote communities in the Fitzroy Valley

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a well-rounded professional with:

  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a large caseload and work to KPIs and deadlines
  • Well-developed communication skills and professional conduct
  • Experience in a client-facing or community services role
  • Proficiency in using computer systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, history, and community dynamics, particularly in Fitzroy Crossing and the Kimberley region.
  • Current WA manual driver's licence.
