Manager of Data Strategy and Analytics

Are you a data professional with a heart for Christian education? Do you believe in the power of data to enhance student outcomes and support mission-aligned, evidence-based decisions?

Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA) is seeking a Manager of Data Strategy and Analytics to lead strategic data initiatives across our network of seven Christian schools. Based in Midland, this permanent full-time role will shape and drive our data vision across the organisation to support planning, operations, and student flourishing.

In this role, you will develop and implement a robust data strategy, lead data governance, and build advanced analytics and business intelligence tools to enable data-informed decision making that aligns with our Christ-centred vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Data Leadership – Develop and execute SCEA's data strategy, integrating governance, compliance, and innovation.
  • Data Governance – Build scalable frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and responsible use across the organisation.
  • Advanced Analytics & BI – Design and implement dashboards and tools to support leadership in educational and operational decision making.
  • Software Standardisation – Collaborate to optimise systems like TASS and Canvas, enhancing integration and automation.
  • Infrastructure Planning – Use analytics to support long-term planning for capital projects, enrolment trends, and resource optimisation.
  • Collaboration & Capacity Building – Work closely with school leaders and head office teams to drive business improvements and foster data literacy.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrates a strong Christian faith and supports SCEA's vision, mission, and Statement of Faith
  • Tertiary qualification in data science, information management, or related field
  • Proven expertise in data analytics, governance, and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with enterprise systems (e.g. TASS) and LMS platforms (e.g. Canvas
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of data applications in school operations, timetabling, and resource planning

Desirable:

  • Experience in the education or not-for-profit sector
  • Understanding of compliance and data policy frameworks
