Support Officer

Join our Construction & Maintenance business where we are dedicated to providing the construction of Capital Works Projects, security services and the maintenance and servicing of buildings, engineering, parks and natural environment assets.  Our work provides the support services to this large diverse and dynamic team and the wider Operations Division in the most efficient and cost-effective way to improve the quality of life for our community.  We are seeking a permanent full-time skilled and knowledgeable Support officer to join this fast pace operational administrative team willing to take on the challenge

About the role:

The Support Officer is an integral part of the Construction and Maintenance and wider Operations Division team and provides a broad range of administrative and operational support. Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Assisting with procurement tasks including raising purchase orders and processing invoices
• Providing administrative support in the areas of customer service, procurement, recruitment, induction and on-boarding,  training and Work, Health and Safety
• Performing data entry, maintaining accurate records and generating reports
• General office duties including filing, document preparation and administration tasks
• Assist in the review and updating processes in all we do as we continue to transition to automating systems and processes to create more efficiencies
• Assisting with ad hoc duties as required, contributing to the smooth functioning of the business unit.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent and relevant work experience
• Experience in a fast pace operational administrative focused position
• Well-developed customer service skills
• Professional and can-do attitude
• Organised with good time management skills and a focus on accuracy
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology
• Ability and willingness to work a roster that is 7am until 4pm
• A satisfactory National Police Certificate
• Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence
• Construction Safety Awareness Training (White Card)

The salary for this position will be from $72, $87,036.08 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
