Are You Our New Support Worker?We're searching for a natural leader with a big heart, strong mind, and the skills to inspire women in the disability sector. You should be:
- Experienced: 1+ years working in Disability Support
- Skilled: Able to manage extensive behaviours of concern with calm, clear strategies
- Qualified: Hold Cert II in Individual Support and or Mental Health Certificate and Mental Health First Aid
- Detailed: Impeccable incident reports and shift notes
- Collaborative: Communicate effectively and work well in a dynamic team environment
- Resilient: Calm, collected, and able to hold strong boundaries with heart
- Flexible: Available for 24/7 rostered support, including inactive sleepovers
- Be health-conscious - you care about fitness, self-improvement, and leading by example.
- BONUS: Have experience in Women's Work, Coaching, Youth Work, or Residential Care - or bring transferrable skills from backgrounds like the Personal Training, Police, Military, Martial Arts, Security, or Professional Sports.
- Supporting women transitioning from inpatient care to community living with the backing of a SIL team
- Providing consistent mental health support and mentorship
- Managing challenging situations with professionalism and compassion
- Working closely with behaviour specialists, clinicians, and other stakeholders
- Writing accurate, detailed shift notes, incident reports, and risk management documentation
- Assisting with personal care and daily living when needed
- Being part of a team that values growth, culture, and heart
- Providing support in the community
