Early Childhood Teacher (18months to 2.5 years) - full-time permanent position

Methodist Ladies College Early Learning Centre offers dedicated co-educational care for children aged 18 months to 4 years in a long day care environment. It forms part of the wider MLC community and is a warm and inviting space where children have access to the College's outstanding facilities and beautiful school grounds for regular excursions including Teddy Bear's picnics, river trips, and other activities including Music and Languages.

The position

This position is Monday - Friday and works closely with other Teachers and Room Leaders. It implements a suitable curriculum that encourages learning through play and the achievement of individual developmental milestones. This position will manage all learning programs for toddlers 18 months to over 2 years in our Boodja Room.

You will be :

  • Formally qualified as an Early Childhood Teacher or have strong progression towards a degree
  • Experience working in an Early Childhood or an Out of School Hours Care setting
  • An understanding of the My Time our Place (MTOP) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • A passion for working with young children
  • A commitment to model, promote, and represent the College's Vision, Mission and Values
  • A current Working with Children Check card, National Police Clearance (less than 12 month's old), right to work in Australia unrestricted.
