ABOUT THE CENTRE
Ngala Early Learning Claremont is a spacious, growing childcare centre, just a 5-minute walk from Showgrounds Train Station. We offer large indoor and outdoor play areas, a dedicated art room, and excellent child-to-educator ratios. Our focus is on providing fun, stimulating, and joyful learning activities for children.
We operate Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 6pm.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Room Leader, you will work alongside a team of Early Childhood Educators to deliver child focused care to children 0-6 years of age and ensure Educators adhere to all policies and procedures and support their development by providing supervision, mentoring, and leading by example. In addition, you will contribute to the development of the Early Childhood Curriculum and plan and implement accordingly.
Just as important, you'll become part of a close-knit team who support each other, learn from each other and love coming to work.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
About You
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Experience supporting the development of children aged 0–6.
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Current First Aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylaxis).
• WA Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (within last 6 months).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of Early Childhood Educators to deliver high-quality, child-focused care for children aged 0–6.
• Develop and implement educational programs using Ngala's Curriculum Handbook and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Ensure programs meet or exceed the National Quality Standard (NQS).
• Supervise, mentor, and coach educators to foster professional growth and reflective practice.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff to create inclusive and responsive learning environments.
• Maintain compliance with Ngala's policies and procedures.
As part of our commitment to being a Child Safe organisation, successful candidates are required to provide their Immunisation History Statement.
While immunisations are highly encouraged, they are not mandatory. This information will help us assess and implement appropriate safety measures for everyone.
