Join our dynamic English Department as an Assistant Head of Department, where you'll play a key role in shaping curriculum delivery and fostering excellence in teaching and learning. This leadership position combines strategic planning with hands-on support for teachers, ensuring high standards of assessment and innovative approaches to literacy and literature. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and Support Teaching Excellence: Oversee curriculum implementation and assessment for allocated year groups, ensuring consistency and quality in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Mentor and Collaborate: Provide guidance to teachers through mentoring, coaching, and regular team meetings; foster resource sharing and professional development across the department.
  • Drive Innovation and Strategic Growth: Contribute to departmental planning, manage programs and competitions, and champion literature and language initiatives within the school community.
