The Opportunity

To provide independent and subject matter expertise through a peer review of the draft Climate Vulnerability Assessment Report and associated materials developed under a grant-funded project.

Responsibilities

Peer Review of Report Content

Review the draft Climate Vulnerability Assessment Report "
Climate Emergency Risks for Vulnerable Communities
" for:

  1. Technical accuracy of spatial data interpretation and environmental indicators
  2. Clarity, consistency, and logical structure of report content
  3. Alignment with grant objectives and Council strategies
  4. Effectiveness of visual materials (maps, infographics, tables) in communicating findings.

Constructive Feedback & Recommendations

  • Provide structured, actionable feedback on report tone, structure and data presentation.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in analysis, interpretation, or literature references.
  • Suggest enhancements to improve readability and accessibility for non-technical audiences.

Review of Supporting Materials

  • Assess the relevance and quality of accompanying spatial products (e.g., maps, overlays).
  • Ensure strong alignment between data analysis, conclusions, and literature.
  • Confirm compliance with reporting expectations of the grant funding body.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical review, report editing, or subject matter peer review.
  • Familiarity with spatial data products and principles of climate risk communication.
  • Prior experience with grant-funded projects or local government settings is highly regarded.
