About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Climate Risk Analyst to support the National Climate Risk Assessment by integrating Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and practices into the assessment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and collaborate with Indigenous communities to incorporate traditional ecological knowledge into risk assessments.
- Provide insight into the unique vulnerabilities and adaptation needs of Indigenous communities and their lands.
- Contribute to the development of culturally sensitive and inclusive risk assessments.
- Facilitate a better understanding of Indigenous perspectives into the Australian climate service.
Requirements:
- Australia Post Level 6 qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively with Indigenous communities and incorporate traditional ecological knowledge into risk assessments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
