Anglicare is seeking a strategic and experienced Workers Compensation Specialist to lead injury management initiatives that foster a safe, healthy, and resilient workplace culture.

This is a pivotal role that combines governance, compliance, and collaboration to support employee well-being and reduce organisational risk.

As a senior specialist, you will design and oversee integrated systems and frameworks that ensure best practice in injury prevention, early intervention, and return-to-work coordination. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver measurable outcomes, including reductions in workers' compensation premiums.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and governance of a comprehensive Injury Management Quality Framework.
  • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation and WHS legislation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in injury management systems and workflows.
  • Analyse data and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver targeted training and capability-building initiatives.
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate across HR, WHS, operations, and external providers.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Injury Management, WHS, HR, Allied Health, or related field.
  • Certification in Injury Management or Return-to-Work Coordination.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in senior injury management or WHS roles.
  • Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and training delivery skills.
