You will be responsible for the full program lifecycle—from planning and execution to integration and delivery—ensuring alignment with defence standards, contractual obligations, and security requirements.

- Project Execution: Define scope, objectives, schedules, and resources; oversee system design, integration, testing, and milestone achievement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for defence customers and partners; build strong relationships and provide regular updates and reviews.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to defence standards (ASDEFCON, ISO, MIL-STDs), project frameworks, and security protocols including ITAR and clearance requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies; seek opportunities to improve cost, schedule, or quality.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls; lead multidisciplinary teams and negotiate contracts and supplier agreements.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote lessons learned and best practices in project management (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Innovation: Drive advancements in simulation technologies and training effectiveness to enhance program delivery.
What You Bring:
- 10years + experience in project/program management within the defence or aerospace sector, ideally with simulation, training systems, or mission system development.
- Experience managing complex, high-value, multi-year programs with multiple subcontractors and international supply chains.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects under defence contracting models (e.g., ASDEFCON or equivalent) and project management methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, at a senior level within defence, primes, and industry.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong technical understanding of defence simulation, training systems, or related technologies.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Australian Citizenship
- NV1 security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- PMP/PMI or equivalent certification desirable.
What's on Offer:
- A varied, fast paced role with an innovative and respected leader in mission-critical aerospace and defense products.
- A team of skilled and motivated people committed to innovation, collaboration, and national security outcomes.
- Competitive remuneration package
You'll thrive in this role if you're a strategic thinker, confident communicator, and someone who leads with integrity and accountability.
