Established in 1871, the Art
Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney's The Domain adjacent to the
Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery
acknowledges the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people.

The Art Gallery attracts around 2
million visitors annually and runs Australia's largest education program with
over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus the Art Gallery has
a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved
building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Art
Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family,
learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

About the RoleThe
Major Gifts Coordinator provides a broad range of administrative and support
services to the Major Gift's team program of work, whilst facilitating the delivery
of business objectives

What Technical / Soft skills are required

  • Demonstrated success in the provision of administrative and project management including high level desktop skills, experience in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues and people in senior roles
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project managing and organising small scale events
  • Experience in coordinating reports, documentation, meetings and associated catering along with the ability to determine priorities in an environment of tight and conflicting deadlines, using initiative and independence.
  • Experience in the use of a wide variety of software applications including Word, Excel, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, a finance, procurement or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and a content management system.
  • Willingness and ability to attend events outside of business hours
