Burns & Co Auctions have rapidly become a household name in the classic and collectable automotive auction space and have auction facilities in both Bayswater, Melbourne and in Beresfield, via Newcastle in N.S.W.

Burns & Co carry out regular in house automotive auctions (along with other types) and offer a comprehensive auction service including specialised on property, single vendor auctions etc.

Burns & Co has enjoyed tremendous growth since putting its footprint into Bayswater, Vic in 2019 and only recently expanded and improved its auctions rooms to now be state of the art and one of the market leaders. All Burns & Co classic and collectable car and motorbike auctions offer floor bidding, online and phone bidding to their vast range of clients.

Rapid growth has bought about the need for an additional staff member to join our growing Melbourne auto team, and answering to our auto manager with a focus on the following:

  • Co-ordinating receival of cars and motorcycles into our facility and follow the booking in procedures on all arrivals.
  • Co-ordinating the delivery of cars and motorcycles out of our facility and follow the departure procedure on all departures.
  • Prepare cars and bikes for cataloguing and photography
  • Meet and greet clients and contactors upon arrival into our facility
  • Develop valuation skills
  • Attend to the show floor during viewing times and attend auctions as needed

The successful applicant will bring to the table the following:

  • A neat and tidy appearance (uniform provided) with a mature, business like attitude.
  • A team first approach (not negotiable) and be a very good communicator
  • An interest in all things auto
  • Some general knowledge / interest in cars and / or bikes
  • A reasonable level of fitness
  • A minimum of a current car license - MR or HR would be an advantage
  • The ability and desire to work some weekends and be on call as required
  • Basic computer skills

This is a full time position based in Bayswater, Vic 3153 and ideally the successful applicant would live withing a 20-30 minute radius as some on call work is required in this roll.
