Blanchard Racing Team (BRT) is currently seeking a motivated Race Mechanic on a full-time basis at our Box Hill, Victoria workshop
The primary responsibility for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of our race cars to ensure they are prepared and optimised for competition.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Crew Chief, Engineers and other team members and be part of our traveling crew, attending all Repco Supercars Championship events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the team to complete all mechanical tasks as directed, ensuring timelines are met to satisfy the expectations and obligations of the Supercars Championship Schedule;
- Performing allocated and scheduled work in accordance with quality standards;
- Undertaking general team tasks to ensure our mustangs are operational at optimal capacity at all times;
- Maintaining and repairing the racing car – both in the workshop in Box Hill and on the track during the championship schedule;
- Participate in race repairs and pit stops; and
- Ensuring the condition and presentation of the workshop, both onsite and at race meets aligns with team standards.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience in Motorsport as a No.1 or No.2 Mechanic (highly desirable);
- Previous experience with Race Car preparation, assembly and maintenance;
- Mechanical Trade Qualification;
- Must have the ability to work autonomously and to strict deadlines;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to delegate tasks; and
- Be a good team player who knows how to bring the best out of the team.
