About the role?

With the continued growth of our construction pipeline, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Construction Quality & Technical Lead. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, this role is responsible for leading site quality assurance, build methodology, and technical compliance across both residential new homes and medium-density projects.

Acting as second-in-command (2IC) to the Construction Manager, you'll support supervisors in resolving construction challenges, embed compliance with QBCC/NCC and WH&S standards, and contribute to workflow and system improvements. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and a drive for quality, systems thinking, and operational uplift.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Leading QA processes and promoting consistent site quality across projects
  • Supporting plan reviews and coordinating technical changes with the drafting team
  • Providing technical support and coaching to site supervisors
  • Driving improvements in construction methodology and sequencing
  • Supporting WH&S culture and regulatory compliance
  • Assisting in product development and systems uplift
  • Acting as a key support to the Construction Manager in day-to-day leadership.

What are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A current QBCC Supervisors Licence/or Builder licence and a trade qualification in Carpentry
  • Proven experience delivering custom home and medium-density residential (MDR) projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential construction and buildability
  • In-depth understanding of QBCC, NCC, and WH&S regulations
  • Leadership capability with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in digital construction tools
