ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Building Auditor, you'll conduct thorough assessments of building conditions, structural integrity, and compliance standards—translating your findings into actionable insights that drive safety, sustainability, and performance. With a mix of on-site inspections, data analysis, and collaborative reporting across diverse portfolios.
In this role, you will report to the Group Quality Manager and provide technical support to business units, helping shape smarter, safer, and more compliant buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building Auditing: Responsible for conducting on-site audits within the builder's warranty period, identifying structural and maintenance issues, and ensuring maintenance registers are up to date. Your reports and insights will support quality assurance, defect tracking, and continuous improvement across our operations.
- Continuous Improvement: You'll play a key role in identifying opportunities to refine our processes and enhance customer care and defect management—helping us deliver smarter, more reliable outcomes across every project.
- Defect Rectification: Maintaining smooth communication between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams when needed. You'll also assist in monitoring the progress of major defect rectification works, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Construction Quality & Compliance: Offer advice on product quality, while assisting in resolving issues across completed projects, ensuring every project meets compliance and quality benchmarks.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong knowledge of AS Standards, NCC, QBCC Standards and Tolerances.
- Experience in building inspection and audits is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and technical report writing ability.
- Significant experience across high rise/residential construction projects.
- Significant experience in construction processes and design.
- Experience liaising and managing subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail and proven communication skills.
- A current and valid Australian Driver's License.
- Ability to travel to complete site inspections across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
