Your Role
We are looking for our next deadly team member to join Reconciliation WA.
Our Member and Programs Officer supports and delivers positive member and program experiences to the reconciliation community, delivered alongside a supportive team.
The Member and Programs Officer ensures that members are welcomed, supported and empowered to progress their reconciliation commitments. The role requires strong administrative and communication skills, a customer service mindset, great event organising skills and a passion for reconciliation.
Role Description
Membership Experience and Support
Assist in the onboarding of new members and ensure a positive and professional member experience from initial contact through to ongoing engagement.
• Respond to member enquiries in a timely and culturally appropriate manner, ensuring accurate information is provided and issues are resolved effectively.
• Support the administration of the member lifecycle including renewals, records updating and maintenance, engagement tracking and reporting, invoicing, and database maintenance.
• Contribute to the organisation's member growth and collaborate across the team to identify membership opportunities.
• As aligned to the corporate and community strategy, and with a focus on membership, support the implementation and administration of member prospectus and frameworks.
Member Engagement, Programs and Events Delivery and Support
• Assist in the co-ordination, engagement and delivery of all Reconciliation programs.
• Support members participating in the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) program and other reconciliation initiatives, connecting them with relevant resources, contacts and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver targeted content and events that provide value to members and promote retention and growth.
• Assist in the coordination of the Reconciliation Street Banner Program, supporting registration processing, communications with councils and businesses, and logistical support.
• Ensure all attendee's to RWA reconciliation programs and events are tracked and participant records are updated and maintained.
Organisational Contribution
• Work collaboratively across teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination in the delivery of RWA's engagement programs.
• Participate in major events and campaigns such as National Reconciliation Week, contributing to logistics, planning and on-the-day delivery.
• Undertake other duties consistent with the role as reasonably directed from time to time.
Skills and Experience Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need the following attributes:
· Deep empathy with Aboriginal history in WA.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a basic awareness of Aboriginal history in WA as part of their empathy and understanding.
· Minimum 2 years in program or membership coordination, or stakeholder
support or customer service.
· Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
· Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail .
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) or willingness to learn.
· Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
The National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check must be obtained before the start date of employment.
· Western Australian Drivers License or access to public transport.
