Westport is a program which sits within the Transport Portfolio. It is the long-term program that is progressing Perth's proposed new, world-class port facility in Kwinana, which will unlock Western Australia's economic growth, allow for the evolution of Fremantle, and deliver local jobs and opportunities in our southern suburbs.
Westport will be delivered by over eight major infrastructure projects, and a raft of non-infrastructure commercial, environmental, planning, reform and strategy implementation programs, all integrating to realise meaningful benefits for Australia and to deliver a legacy of innovation and improvement in infrastructure delivery in WA.

Why this role matters:
Westport is seeking a visionary Program Director to lead one of Australia's most significant and complex infrastructure initiatives. This multi-billion-dollar program encompasses one of the world's few major greenfield port developments, and the ambition to positively change infrastructure delivery in WA, positioning it as a career defining opportunity. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Western Australia's freight transport system, delivering a transformative legacy for generations to come.
As Program Director, you will drive a program-wide approach to the implementation and innovation of Westport strategies and policies, benefits realisation, program control, quality, and facilitation activities supporting marine, port, road, and rail infrastructure works throughout the definition and delivery phases of the program. Working alongside and in collaboration with Project Directors, you will provide integration, control, and assurance functions across both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. By driving excellence in governance, fostering innovation and ensuring consistency of continually improving standards, you will enable the program to deliver world class outcomes that reshape Western Australia's freight future.
Your impact will be through:
- Leading program-wide controls, assurance, and interface frameworks that underpin delivery success
- Driving integration and focus across infrastructure delivery to ensure alignment and enable the most efficient implementation of Westport's strategic goals
- Providing information, guidance and oversight to support Project Directors and managers in achieving program policy objectives and delivery milestones through enabling them to manage their projects within your program management framework
- Building capability and inspiring high performance across the program through mentoring and strong leadership.
