We are now seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic (General) to join our professional team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering, and other mechanical components.
  • Diagnosing faults using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and road testing where required.
  • Repairing and replacing worn or malfunctioning parts including engine rebuilds, brake systems, cooling systems, and electrical components.
  • Carrying out scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, tune-ups, tire rotation and wheel alignment.
  • Conducting engine tuning using electronic equipment and manufacturer procedures.
  • Performing safety checks on vehicles, ensuring compliance with industry and roadworthy standards.
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records, job cards, and parts usage.
  • Advising customers on vehicle conditions, recommended repairs, and cost estimates.
  • Ensuring workshop tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification).
  • Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Current driver's license.
