MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in electric bicycles.

  • Repairs or replaces defective components such as motors, gears, bearings, brake assemblies, and electrical wiring.

  • Servicing and replacing small electric motors, drive systems, controllers, batteries, braking, and transmission components.

  • Conducting preventive maintenance, performance testing, and safety inspections;

  • Utilizing specialized diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify faults and implement corrective measures.

  • Assembling, calibrating, and quality-testing electric bicycles prior to customer delivery.

  • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts drivetrain (crank set, chain, and gears (e.g., a 7-speed Shimano shifter and derailleur) that transfer power from the rider's legs to the rear wheel.

  • Maintains, tests and repairs electric motors, drivetrains, braking systems and other mechanical and electrical components of electric bicycles.

  • Performing scheduled maintenance services such as engine tune-ups, clean sensors that detecting pedalling to adjust torque.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic understanding of circuit design, power management, and control systems.

  • Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems programming (e.g., Arduino, PIC, STM32).

  • Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and motor control.

  • Proficiency in using electronic design automation (EDA) tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Passion for sustainable transportation and electric mobility.

Experience with Computer Diagnosis Qualifications:

  • Minimum formal qualifications (Certificate III or IV in Mechanical Diagnosis. (Automotive, Motorcycles or small machines)
