  • Diagnosing and repairing: Identifying and fixing faults in diesel engines and other mechanical parts, such as transmissions, steering, suspension, and brakes
  • Maintaining and servicing: Performing routine maintenance, as well as full engine overhauls or rebuilds
  • Disassembling and reassembling: Removing and replacing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components
  • Testing and adjusting: Testing and adjusting mechanical parts to ensure they are performing properly
  • Inspecting vehicles: Inspecting vehicles and issuing roadworthiness certificates
  • Communicating: Communicating with vehicle operators about problems

Required skills and experience include:

  • Good computer skills
  • Understanding of fault codes for engines and fueling systems
  • Ability to diagnose electrical issues
  • Ability to troubleshoot codes
  • Ability to run different tests
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Qualification in Diesel Mechanics e.g. Diploma

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
