Full-time permanent Position Vacant - 38 hours per week

Busy workshop located in Moranbah Qld is an established and reputable supplier and mechanical shop with over 18 years' experience. We are a family owned business and are proud to promote that we have an extensive light vehicle servicing process with the convenience of a ONE STOP SHOP for all vehicle auto electrical, mechanical and tyre requirements.

As a Motor Mechanic you will maintain, tests and repairs petrol engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.

Position Details: Motor Mechanic

- dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts

- repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed

- performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and

- engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations

- reassembling engines and parts after being repaired

- testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance

- diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers or scan tools

About the role:

The suitable applicants will be reporting to the Workshop Manager

Work independently where required but within a team environment

Adhere to strict Occupational Health and Safety practices

Skills and Experience Required You will be the ideal candidate if you have:

Minimum qualifications:

- Australian Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent skills and experience Motor Mechanic

- Minimum of at least four years of relevant experience

- Experience working in a private repair workshop

- Proven experience working on all types of vehicles, performing a variety of tasks.

- An ability to work in a team environment

Remuneration:

$76,515 to $83,000 depending skill level and experience. Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
