We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join the professional team at Jimbo's Automotive, a trusted and family-owned business operating since 2007. This is a full-time position offering long-term career growth within a reputable and well-equipped workshop. Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical parts of petrol and diesel vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems.

  • Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair for proper performance.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, tune-ups, and comprehensive vehicle inspections.

  • Diagnose faults efficiently using computerised diagnostic equipment and accurately interpret error codes.

  • Repair and replace worn or defective parts and expertly reassemble vehicle systems.

  • Carry out wheel alignments, balancing, and tyre fitting when required.

  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and strict safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate service records and clearly report any additional repair needs to management.

  • Road test vehicles to confirm repairs are completed to the highest standard and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification) – compulsory requirement.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience as a Motor Mechanic.

  • Valid driver's licence.

  • Familiarity with modern automotive diagnostic systems and tools.
