About the Role
Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator, the Procurement Officer will provide day-to-day support in managing procurement activities. This part time role, based in our Scarborough office for 3 days (19.5 hours) per week, is a new position within the organisation, offering the opportunity to shape and make it your own. The role involves maintaining accurate procurement records, keeping documentation up to date, and supporting smooth operational processes.
You will also collaborate with teams across the organisation to facilitate supplier selection, support negotiations, and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Manage and maintain supplier relationships, from obtaining quotes to coordinating reviews.
- Provide administrative support, including record-keeping and reporting.
- Assist with sourcing activities, tenders, and negotiations under the guidance of the Procurement Coordinator.
- Ensure procurement processes are compliant, efficient, and well-documented.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, consolidate suppliers, and deliver savings.
- Keep up to date with industry trends to support smart purchasing decisions.
