Senior IT Procurement Officer – ICT & Cyber Security Projects

Brisbane CBD | Contract until 12 December 2025 with potential extension | hrs per week | Up to $87.17 per hour plus super.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join a government partner organisation supporting major ICT strategic initiatives and Cyber Security funding projects.

This role works closely with the CIO and project procurement teams, providing expert procurement planning, strategy, and delivery advice across a wide range of ICT-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement planning, market engagement, evaluation and tender processes
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring probity and compliance with government requirements
  • Provide high-quality procurement strategy and advice to stakeholders
  • Support ICT business units with sourcing ICT products and services
  • Contribute to strategic procurement plans and outcomes across multiple projects

Key selection criteria:

  • Proven ability to deliver compliant, rapid procurement outcomes in complex environments
  • Strong background in procurement and contract management, ideally within ICT/digital enterprise projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex procurement projects in government or large organisations
  • Experience developing and coordinating RFI/RFQ/ITO processes
  • QLD Government Procurement Certification (Level 3 preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience with QITC (or substantial GITC) contract documentation
  • End-to-end procurement and strategic planning expertise

Highly Desirable

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and detail-focused
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong ability to interpret business requirements into procurement outcomes
  • Capable of working independently and within multidisciplinary teams, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
