Such And Such Restaurant in the CBD is hiring a Head chef

What we are looking for

Experience in a similar restaurant. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Can work seamlessly in a team environment, take direction and communicate effectively.

As we operate Monday to Saturday for dinner and lunch Tuesday to Saturday you need to be available as required.

We are also considering sous chefs that are willing to be mentored and push themselves to take the next step in there careers.

Your success in this role will be supported by:

  • Demonstrated experience in high quality restaurants

  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards in process and presentation

  • Strong leadership and the ability to train staff

  • Proactive involvement in food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency

  • Effective collaboration with the kitchen team to foster harmonious working relationships

  • Contribution to maintaining the overall hygiene, food standards, and cleanliness of all kitchen areas

  • Strong understanding of food safety requirements

  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

  • A motivated mindset with a desire for continuous learning and growth

  • Commitment and reliability

  • Qualifications and Experience:

    • At least 2 years' experience in a management role in Modern Australian Cuisine

    • Proven experience in hatted or top level venues

Unfortunately we are not looking for part time or casual staff and this position is only available for applicants that have full working rights in Australia.

Four day roster, experience at a 1 hat restaurant, room for career development and progression through our venues.

Such and Such has already won awards including 1 hat in its first year, Best New Restaurant in the SMH Good Food Guide 2024 and Gourmet Traveller Top 5 ACT Restaurants 2 years in a row and is continuing to strive for excellence.

We do a lot of events and collaborate with different restaurants and chefs from all around Australia so its a great opportunity to learn from and meet a lot of amazing people in the industry.
