Position Overview

• Position Status: Qualified Electrician
• Reporting To: Project Manager or Operations Manager
• Liaise With: Other electricians, apprentices, office staff, clients, and builders
• Expected Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm with some flexibility required
• Pay/Rate: $50–$60/hr depending on experience + bonuses and allowances

Role Summary This role involves Domestic and Commercial Electrical Maintenance and Installations. We also complete HVAC installations across residential new home builds and commercial construction sites. You'll be responsible for wiring up Domestic split system and ducted systems as well as zone controls , commercial VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems to a high standard. You'll play a key role in delivering great outcomes for clients while supporting the team and mentoring apprentices.

Responsibilities

1. Arrive on time and prepared for each job
2. Carry out electrical and HVAC installations to Australian standards
3. Install, test, and commission split systems, ducted systems, and VRF units
4. Work on new home builds and commercial construction projects
5. Work with the team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard
6. Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and project managers
7. Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicle in good working condition
8. Accurately complete job notes and timesheets using job management software (Service Mate)
9. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
10. Maintain a tidy and safe job site, including clean-up on completion
11. Support apprentices and junior staff with guidance and training
12. Identify and report any issues, delays, or variations promptly
13. Follow stock control procedures and notify office of any shortages or orders
14. Attend team meetings and training sessions as required
15. Represent the company professionally in all dealings with clients and the public
16. Maintain current licences and industry certifications
17. Provide feedback to improve systems, safety, and customer experience

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Jobs completed to quality standards with fewer than 2% callbacks
• 100% of timesheets and job notes submitted daily
• Maintain 90%+ labour utilisation (chargeable hours)

What You Need:

• Fully qualified Electrician (AUS Registered)
• HVAC Electrical install experience: split systems, ducted, VRF (ARCtick a bonus) (desirable but not necessarily)
• Reliable, honest, and solution-focused
• Experience on residential and commercial projects
• Can lead jobs and support apprentices
• Clean full driver's license
