Dayshelf Fire Systems is a privately owned and operated successful fire services company providing specialist services to commercial, industrial and residential building sectors. A leader in the fire services industry for over 40 years we provide efficient and reliable maintenance and servicing of fire equipment to our clients throughout Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW as well as national project installation services. We value technical and professional excellence, integrity and respect in our team.

Key Responsibilities

We require a suitably Qualified Electrician with a focus to learn and develop within the fire industry. You will interact professionally with clients, colleagues and will represent the company with integrity.

This position does not require you to have previous knowledge within the fire industry.

In accordance with Australian standards your key responsibilities will be:-

  • To develop skills in the Fire Industry to Service, test, inspect, maintain and repair fire detection, alarm and warning systems.
  • Testing and Repairs of emergency & exit lighting systems
  • Learn how to install/modify fire alarm systems
  • Ability to learn to re-connect and dis-connect fire systems
  • Reporting on your activities, compliance issues and health & safety matters

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Qualified Electrician
  • A current QBCC Licence in Electrican Stream (ideal but not essential)
  • A valid Open Driver's Licence
  • Proven industry experience servicing, repairing, maintaining and installing electrical systems
  • A strong service focus
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to lead and deal with a range of people
  • The ability to work autonomously with a pro-active approach to managing deadlines
  • A high degree of health and safety awareness
  • A level of fitness to be able to undertake a broad range of physical tasks
