About OzHarvest:

OzHarvest is a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to 'Nourish our Country' by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change their behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.

About the role:

12 months Parental Leave Fixed-Term contract (potential to become permanent).

OzHarvest is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Business Services team on a 12 month fixed-term parental leave contract. You'll support our mission to reduce food waste and nourish communities by providing financial administrative support and ensuring accurate transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage income from donations, grants, sponsorships, and sales through various platforms (eWAY, STRIPE, website) in Salesforce and Xero.
  • Reconcile data between Xero and Salesforce and suggest process improvements for efficiency.
  • Process supplier invoices, manage payments, and handle employee reimbursements via Weel
  • Support OzHarvest's engagement programs' invoicing and ensure financial accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge of Xero, ApprovalMax and Salesforce (or similar CRM).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
