Broker Assistant – Melbourne or Canberra (Full Time)

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Broker Assistant to join our team. This role can be based in either our Melbourne or Canberra office, with the flexibility to support both locations.

The focus will be on new business accounts, while also assisting with renewals across the wider portfolio. You'll be working directly with the Director on key accounts and new business opportunities, gaining exposure to larger and more complex placements. It's a role that offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to play a real part in our growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting with new business quotes, preparing documentation, and managing follow-up.
  • Supporting the renewal process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Liaising with clients, insurers, and internal team members to keep everything moving.
  • Helping with account management across both offices.

You won't just be "in the background." This position puts you at the table with the Director, working on high-value new business and key accounts. It's a rare opportunity to be directly involved in strategy and client relationships, with plenty of room to grow.

What we're looking for:

  • Insurance industry experience preferred, but strong admin or client service backgrounds are also considered.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A team player who wants to grow with the business.
  • Australian work rights are required for this position.
