The main purpose of the Senior Developer position is to produce best-in-class code for both front-end and backend development projects and tasks.They will also contribute to advanced technical solution design scoping, to deliver effective, commercially-viable and valuable solutions for clients.

The Senior Developer role offers mentoring to junior team members within the Development Team, to support their progression with both front-end and backend development.

This role will work within a high performing team of developers, designers and account managers and provide solutions relating to front end design and development.

Your New Role
  • Produce best-in-class code—within the allocated time.
  • Efficiently and autonomously manage your time to meet deliverables on task and project work.
  • Provide recommendations and advice to the Account Management Team on the best development approach to achieve effective and valuable solutions for the client.
  • Assist account managers to set realistic timeframes for development work.
  • Follow internal code practices and development processes.
  • Anticipate potential problems and provide solutions relating to front end design and development.
  • Proactively identify and communicate any possible issues with your manager and/or Account Manager.
  • Diagnose and handle bugs as they arise to ensure quick resolution.
  • Create notes and post in Git and other platforms so the rest of the team can easily understand what you have done.
  • Follow Quality Assurance processes for browser and device testing your work as well as reviewing junior team member work where required.
  • Motivate and inspire your team members to further progress their skills, efficiencies, and stay up-to-date with latest industry/technology trends.

What you will need
  • Driver's Licence
  • Working Rights in Australia
  • 4+ years of web development experience
  • eCommerce experience, preferably Shopify
  • Experience with modern mobile frameworks such as Flutter/Dart, React Native, Angular 2 or Vue
  • Agency experience
  • Advanced skills in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and CSS preprocessors
  • Understanding of PHP
  • Understanding of code management frameworks such as Git
  • Producing high quality work, from small tasks to large scale projects
  • Enthusiastic attitude that embraces ownership and collaboration
