Are you a highly motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist who would like a key role in project work, as well as coaching and mentoring school based occupational therapists in South East region?

This is
your opportunity - a Permanent Part-time Senior Occupational Therapy (Clinical) position.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.30FTE), 22.08 hours per fortnight.

Your Opportunity:

As the Senior Occupational Therapist (Clinical), you will:

  • Support students to access and fully participate in learning in an inclusive education system.
  • Work within a multitiered system of support and collaborate with education teams to maximise learning outcomes and wellbeing for students.
  • Support and ensure the development of capability of other occupational therapists across the state and within South East region to use clinical evidence-based occupational therapy to achieve student learning outcomes.
  • Provide professional leadership to others across the department, using your high levels of expertise in specific or specialised clinical aspects of school based occupational therapy services.

This position will comprise of a proportion of clinical and project work.

Your Role:

As the Senior Occupational Therapists (Clinical) you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Lead and conduct specialised projects and innovative research activities relating to the delivery and continuous improvement of occupational therapy services within schools.
  • Provide expert clinical advice to others within the department on specific or specialised clinical areas of occupational therapy.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to others to build capacity and promote and ensure best practice in occupational therapy service delivery.
  • Use high level communication and collaboration skills with schools and key stakeholders, including occupational therapists, to facilitate knowledge and resource sharing of specific or specialised clinical areas of occupational therapy.
  • Support students to achieve their potential using evidence-based contemporary occupational therapy knowledge and frameworks to assist schools to identify and make reasonable adjustments and implement inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Demonstrate continuous growth in your own professional learning and model reflective practice.
