We are now seeking a Senior Maintenance Officer (Defects) in QLD to take the lead in coordinating, managing, and resolving building defect issues across our portfolio in Brisbane and Gold Coast.

The Role

As a Senior Maintenance Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding Meriton's reputation for quality by:

  • Managing and coordinating defect rectification works in new and existing developments.
  • Liaising with builders, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Conducting inspections and assessments to identify building issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintaining detailed records and reports to track progress, outcomes, and compliance.
  • Supporting owners, tenants stakeholders and internal defect teams by providing professional, proactive communication and updates.
  • Driving continuous improvement in defect management processes and preventative maintenance strategies.

About You

We're looking for a practical, solutions-focused professional who brings:

  • Experience in maintenance, construction or building defect management.
  • Solid technical knowledge of building systems, finishes and QLD compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also leading and coordinating contractors.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with high attention to detail.
