About the role

NCVER is committed to shaping Australia's vocational education and training system through insight and collaboration. We're looking for a skilled and experienced Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to help elevate our connection with stakeholders, ensuring their needs guide the development and delivery of our products, services, and insights.

In this role, you'll support  and advise on organisation-wide communication and engagement strategies, ensuring stakeholder needs and experience standards are met and aligned with NCVER's goals. You'll guide teams on target audiences, channel selection, and brand alignment, while also developing tools that support decentralised engagement practices. Your efforts will help build and improve internal capability, shape strategic plans, and deliver measurable outcomes across the organisation.

About you

The successful candidate will require the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in planning, delivering and refining communication and engagement strategies and products tailored to stakeholder needs and business goals.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey principles and demonstrated ability to support technically oriented teams in communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience using stakeholder account management systems/CRMs.
  • Highly developed capabilities to identify, form and maintain stakeholder and internal organisation relationships, and represent the organisation.

Appointment Details

  • Ongoing full-time position, based in Adelaide or located in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra will be considered with regular travel to Adelaide.
  • Gifted leave over Christmas shut down.
  • Hybrid working from office/home arrangement.
  • A generous salary package commensurate with skills and expertise (including 12% superannuation) will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
